We have a very creative toddler who loves, “making toys” as his imagination guides him. We love it, and encourage him to keep his creativity flowing which means our house
has an overload of DIY toys that stimulate his mind. It started with LEGO construction blocks, a love that keeps growing, and that eventually added magnetic tiles to its evolution. Yes, in our household we are surrounded
by construction blocks and magnetic tiles, and we would not wanted any other way. Mrs. LMRTFY supplies it, and Mr. LMRTFY and Jr. take care of the playing and creating part of the process. It is part of their bonding time.
It was not until we bought the first set of 40 magnetic tiles that we realized how expensive it can get as we knew that one set would not be enough for our little engineer in
the making. So when it was time to add more sets of magnetic tiles we knew we would have to check online for other alternatives. To our surprise the quality of the tiles we found (and bought) was almost (if not completely)
the same as the more expensive tiles. Since then it has been a no brainier to buy the tiles online for a fraction of the price we see every time we go into a store.
Our latest addition is a set of 40 pieces of magnetic tiles by 4DBlocks. Its quality is once again, exceptional. This set is a bit different than the others we have bought in
the past because it also contains wheels. The set has 18 square tiles, 12 triangle tiles, 2 hexagon tiles, 6 square caps tiles and 2 sets of (2) wheels. Now our son can also make vehicles using his tiles, not only buildings.
He loves the liberty that those extra pieces offers to his imagination. He has been using magnetic tiles since he was 3 years old, he is now 4 and he loves all his tiles from the first sets to the latest ones. I wish I could
say that from all his toys but we have learned that the toys that grow with him are the ones which he gravitates to.
Ultimately, we see buying construction blocks and magnetic tiles as an investment in his growth because not only does he loves playing with them; We also incorporates both types of toys in our homeschooling. We learn shapes, colors, and numbers just to mention a few things while using the tiles with a learning objective. These tiles are versatile, grow with our son’s imagination and help us teach him new things as well. And as a bonus, tiles are super easy to store away! It does not take a lot of space at all; It is a perfect toy if you ask us. This set comes with an instructional booklet with the basics of how to make certain shapes, and also has a cute bonus of a sheet of number stickers. Around here stickers are extremely useful, so it was definitely a nice surprise to find the sheet inside the booklet.
