Our son loves to be creative, he is always making something or planning on doing so. He also loves his LEGO but when we are on the go LEGO is not the best of choices. Who wants
to be hunting for tiny bricks all over the car after a trip? Not us, that is for sure. So, Mr. LMRTFY asked if there was a toy that he could give our son that would allow him to be creative while on the go without having pieces
of it all over the car. After some window shopping we came across this pair of wooden Transformer toys.
This set comes with two wooden Transformer toys. First let us state that the colors (characters) are sent randomly, you cannot choose which Transformers you will get. We received
Optimus Prime (#MomWin as our son loves OP), and Star Scream. The colors and the “face” is what determines the characters. Each toy has 24 wooden blocks which are connected with a strong rubber that allows the blocks to
be rotated, and moved at the child’s (or Dad’s) will. Each Transformer has 4 tire-like extremes. It can be transformed into cars, robots, animals, and whatever else the child says it is. These remind me of a Rubix Cube
but with a creativity element, not just logic.
Without a doubt, these are perfect for traveling. We read someone else’s review saying it was a great toy for children with limited creativity. Well, we want to call... not
true on that one. When your child is creative, anything can become something fun, something new. Our child (he is 4 years old) can be creative with empty boxes, he cam be creative with a piece of paper and a pen. These wooden
toys allow him to keep his mind going, to re-do, fix, create, and use his imagination while doing so.
We would love to get our son the whole collection, there are 6 different Transformers, but due to their random shipping it makes no sense to other more that might end up being the ones he already has which we find to be the only limitation of this toy. Otherwise, our son (and Dad/Mr.LMRTFY) love to play with these in the car which is the permanent (for now) home of these Transformers.
