Reusable Mini Silicone Baking Cups, Pack of 24, by MIREN

In our household, we love to bake. It has become some sort of collective stress reliever for us. We keep it different by trying out different recipes we find while browsing Pinterest or with simple Google searches; Some end up being winners, and others we just see as “learning experiences”. LMRTFY Jr. is the one who loves baking the most, he does not care about the end result as long as he gets to mix stuff, and taste the baked goods at the end of the process. It is about doing something together, as a family, about experimenting, and having a good time.

We bought this twenty-four pack of reusable (non-stick!) mini silicone baking cups from MIREN because our toddler saw them and asked if we could have some “mini baking things”. It turns out the child might be a master chef in the making because he did great with his selection. These cups are made out of soft food grade silicone; BPA free, non-toxic and FDA approved. Each cup holds about .95 ounces which means that it is indeed a MINI cup, not a small one, a mini one. The mini cups are non stick, but we always all a bit of baking spray to make sure it will release the cupcakes without any hassle. Since the cups are made out of silicone it can be used in the freezer as well. The cups can resist from -40 to 446 Fahrenheit; Freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. So, find those Pins because these cups are not only for baking!

The set of twenty-four muffin/baking cups comes divided (four per color) in six different colors. The bright colors are blue, green, orange, pink, purple, and yellow. It definately attracks the attention of little ones, and to be honest, of adults as well. What we like the best is how easy it is to clean. It can be cleaned the old fashioned, by hand, way or simply in the dishwasher. The times we have used the dishwasher we have placed the cups in a dishwasher basket we used to use for baby mouth bottles and nipples. It comes out of the dishwasher completely clean that way. We also do place our silicone cups in a cupcake mold just to provide some stability when transferring into the oven but the mini cups could easily be just placed on top of a baking pan as each cup holds the mix inside nicely and does not collapse. Another plus for us is that the silicone gets cool very fast, and with an impatient toddler by our side that makes the process be faster which ends up making it drama free.

Overall, we want to use the mini cups for crafting as well, but for now the cups are strictly for baking as our son loves them and it makes baking, and its cleaning easy. Definitely, these silicone cups by MIREN are our go to when it comes to our weekly family baking activities.
