Reusable Male Dog Belly Wrap Bands, Set of 3, by HappyPaw

Two years ago our full of life Miniature Pinscher was diagnosed with diabetes. The Pet Hospital ER veterinarian did not seem hopeful for him at all but against all odds he still with us. Sadly, his diabetes has progressed to the point that he has almost lost his all of his vision, he no longer cares to interact, and can’t hold his bladder. While pee pads work wonders it cannot help him when he simply cannot make it in time to the pad to pee as he does not care to go out of the house. His illness has made us have to adjust our routine to make sure he is well taken care of, and has his insulin shots in time twice a day.

We tried doggy diapers but due to the shape/anatomy of his Miniature Pinscher body it simply did not work. After some research we came across reusable dog belly bands. We had heard about it years ago but had completely forgotten about it. This set of dog belly bands by HappyPaws come in different sizes; We decided to try small which has worked as expected. The set has three different belly bands in different colors: brown, green and grey. It is important to mention that the wraps are specially made for male dogs, and prevent the pinching of the dog’s private parts.

Each belly band has three important parts: the large Velcro fastening which helps keep the band in place while being comfortable, the completely waterproof exterior shell and the absorbent microfiber pad at the center. We recommend to measure the dog, do not just eye ball it. The right measurement can be achieved by measuring the dog at the narrowest part of the waist. The seams of these wraps are well done; It shows good craftsmanship. The inside of all three wraps are white but do not worry, the belly bands are warm water only machine washable (drip dry only). A friend recommended using a panty liner on the pad area of the wrap for extra absorbency, but to be honest we have not had to do it yet as the wraps work as we expected and needed it to work. Four paws up!
