My toddler wanted to have his own deodorant as he sees we all have one. I decided to try Zero deodorant because of its all natural ingredients; I ordered two scents: Rosemary
& Lemongrass, and Dude. To my surprise both scents smell practically the same; Dude’s scent is more concentrated (stronger) than the Rosemary & Lemongrass one but the smell is the same. As with anything, I decided
to try the Rosemary & Lemongrass deodorant before giving it to my son to use. Lemongrass is one of my favorite essential oil scents but in this occasion it simply gave me a horrible headache. It might not be as strong
as “Dude” but it still is an overpowering scent. After a few minutes of contact with my skin it became tacky; It actually made me feel stinky. Others around me were able to smell the lemongrass the same way I was smelling
it. In words of my husband, “You are like a walking essential oil diffuser”. Yes, that’s how strong the smell is. Needless to say I opted out on the idea of giving it to my toddler as I knew that if I couldn’t handle
the smell, he wouldn’t either. The headache that was the result of this trial was borderline migraine like. I was under the impression that because it only has (listed) natural ingredients it would be kid friendly, but after
dealing with that headache, the stickiness and the overall smell, there is no way I would give it to any child. My husband suggested we could leave the deodorant, without its cap, in the family’s shoes closet but I’m so
scared of having another headache that I declined to try his idea. This deodorant’s smell is simply way too overpowering. Definitely, not a product for us at all.
Disclosure: I received this item in exchange for my sincere, impartial testing, and assessment. My opinion is always based on mine, and my family’s experiences with the product.
I have no relationship with the seller, and there were no promises regarding the outcome of my review.
Yes, that is my trash can.
I wouldn't wish that headache on anyone.
