Coloré Water Coloring Pencils with Brush Pen, 72 Colors, by Watercolor Pencils

Yes, I’m an adult coloring addict. I have no shame when it comes to it, I’m proud of it. My husband always taunts me saying that I might have more pencils and pens than a small art store; He will never understand the joy that comes from it. This set of 72 previously sharpened watercolor pencils from Coloré is quite impressive. It comes in a very nice tin storage case with 2 (soft) plastic trays that store the pencils securely in place. It also comes with a brush pen which water can be added to for easy water-coloring. The range of colors and shades offers a great variety.

These pencils blend nicely, I like using the tip of my fingers for blending because just the natural oil from it allows for an effortless blend. It can be use dry or with water, both ways offer gorgeous results. The pigments are bright, even the colors that I expected to be more muted looked beautiful and vibrant on paper which was a nice surprise. I find these pencils to be creamy which is why I really love coloring with them, again, it allows for radiant combinations of colors that can blend easily without any mess. I do prefer to use them dry because of my blending but I’m working the courage to try it with the brush as it fascinates me when I see others doing it.

Altogether, this is an impressive set that would be perfect for anyone who enjoys coloring, painting or drawing. I really like its tin storage as it keeps the pencils it provides a good level of protection. These pencils are of excellent quality, as well as non toxic which is great as my toddler loves to color with me. I have no complaints about this set.
