Day of the Dead Temporary Facial Tattoo, Set of 2, by Expression Gifts

In our household we all Halloween, it is the biggest celebration we have as a family. We even have a Halloween tree, that is how serious we are about it. Our celebration extends to the Day of the Dead which we celebrate by attending different local events. Last year our toddler was fascinated by the amazing make up some were sporting for the events. I might be crafty but not to that extend. This year I decided to start our Halloween shopping early in preparation to our month and half long celebration. When I came across this face tattoo stickers I knew it would be a great hit with our little one. 

This set comes with two whole face tattoos inspired by the Day of the Dead. I had two concerns about attempting the face tattoo: application and removal. The application was super easy, I only used one section of the whole pattern as I was testing how my toddler would react to it being on his face. My steps were simple: I cleaned his face, dried it, cut the part I wanted, wet the corner of a hand towel, place the pattern on his cheek, and padded the design with the wet towel until the whole paper was wet. Then I waited about 30-40 minutes before removing the transfer paper. Super easy, and to my surprise it looked perfect. My son was so thrilled about it that refused to allow me to remove it that night. So I decided to let it go and see how long the design would last on his cheek. He went to bed with it, he napped with it, he player with it... and it hardly had any signs of wear. That is when my concern about removing came up, I was expecting it to go away on its own, and that did not happened. After around 36 hours, I asked my husband to use a make up cleanser wipe to remove it. Luckily, the tattoo came off quickly. Tip: Make sure you are using very moist wipes to make the removal easier.

Overall, I cannot wait for our season of Halloween and Day of the Dead arrives, as we will have plenty of occasions to use the rest of the tattoo, and hopefully by then I would be able to apply the other whole design to his face. The tattoo looks great, it stays for a considerable amount of time without any signs of coming off which would be perfect for us as we attend different events. There were no signs of it once it was removed, no redness, nothing.
