The first thing I noticed about this ceramic curler iron is that it is lightweight, and very basic. But do not let that fool you into thinking it is not capable of producing bouncing curls because it does. I will be the first to admit that I was surprised by this curler, happily, but surprised nonetheless. I have a chronic condition that affects my shoulders, so doing my hair has to be fast. I cannot stand there forever repeating the same actions; If I’m lucky I have 10 minutes to figure out my hair before having to quit fixing it due to pain.

So, the first time I used this curler I was not sure of how it was going to play out. It only has 1 button that turns it on and off, there is no temperature control, and there were only 4 brief sentences on the box as instructions of how to use. I was hesitant but followed the simple instructions. I was not even sure the curler was hot enough as there is no indications, and it did not feel that hot. I still gave it a try, and once I was able to figure out how to coordinate my self to wrap my hair around the plastic grid of the curler, I waited about 15 seconds. After it, I proceeded to release my hair, and to my amazement there it was, a perfect and bouncy curl. Needless to say that I kept going, and in about 5 to 8 minutes had a full set of cute curls.

This ceramic hair curler needs to be preheated for about a minute before using, I do not recall that being part of the instructions but after allowing the preheat on my second curls making session I can see how it improves the time of the process, and the quality of the curl (longer lasting). With that said, the curler works as advertised. It is relatively simple to use once you teach yourself the right way to curl the hair around it. I love that it is super lightweight as I was not expecting it to be. Altogether, this curler gives me the cutest curls ever in a quick and effective manner. Don’t be fool by how basic it might be, the important thing is that it works.
