MiPosaur by Wow Wee sold by Avalanche Brands

Our toddler had been asking for a MiPosaur since last December, so his face when we gave him this MiPosaur as s surprise was simply priceless. As the ones you might see at the big box stores, this MiPosaur if by Wow Wee. I won’t lie, this is a 90’s kid dream come true, if you had an electronic keyring pet you know what I’m talking about. As any pet, we quickly named him, his name is MiPo or in toddler language, MaPle.

MiPo comes with a BeaconSense track ball that allows for easy interactions like playing, dancing, and most importantly eating, he even chases the ball. This dinosaur looking little guy is a very intelligent robot that will learn a series of actions by recognizing hand gestures, and so on. It does not only respond to gestures or words, it also reacts to touch. If his tail is yanked he can become a bit roguish, so do not worry if you have small children who loves to pull on tails, they will be amazed at his reactions. It can be taught to do many actions, if you have a bit of patience. Mom’s favorite is when he says, “Coochee, coochee, coo...”, while the toddler’s favorite is to bust a move with MaPle. Important to mention that it requires batteries that are not included: four AA batteries for the MiPosaur, and four AAA for its track ball.

There are many games that can be played with MiPo, just download its app and let the fun begin; The app allows for a different range of interactions, and reactions. It is worth the download, we believe in order to experience Mipo at its best the app is necessary. It also allows for battles with other MiPosaurs, or to trace paths for the MiPo to follow. This certainly is a, don’t tell him, toy, that has a lot of life and will keep everyone in the family interested as it learns, and new features are added. Since its arrival there are no dull moments around here. We love the new addition to our family, after all we are all geeks in here.

Disclosure: I received this item in exchange for my sincere, and impartial testing, and assessment. My opinion is always based on mine, and my family’s experiences with the product. I have no relationship with the seller, and there were no promises regarding the outcome of my review.
